Wine lovers raise your glass and welcome a new variety that has been created in Assam. Experts from the Department of Mycology and Micro-Biology at the Tocklai Tea Research Institute in Assam have developed a variety of wines that are produced from tea.

This isn’t the first a new variety of wine is being developed in the national country; experts in Rajasthan had tried creating a special day hand wines previously.

The wine variety has been developed in three types – CTC wine, Orthodox Green and wines tea wine.

The lead writer of the project, Dr. Prasanta Dutta, shared that the project has been happening since 2015. Your wine variants were launched to the public on the occasion of Tocklai Tea Research Association (TRA) annual general meeting.

These wines are manufactured from 3 different types of teas that are completely free and organic from pesticides.

Experts also distributed the many advantages of tea wines which might also make it a great option for health advertising, when consumed in moderation.

Tea wine is an excellent way to obtain polyphenols that might help promote health insurance and stave off dangers of heart diseases, brain-related ailments like dementia and some types of cancers.

Polyphenols are also linked to warding off common flu and coughing and controlling blood sugar.
