WhatsApp has been in talks to introduce a standalone Business application for small and mid-size businesses for a long time now.
There were several reports leaked earlier, which claimed that the messaging platform is already in works in building its upcoming business application.
Now a fresh report via Android Police notes that WhatsApp for a Business app has reached the testing stage.
The report also reveals that the early testers – the ones who had earlier registered for the same – will be the ones qualified to receive testing the new app.
WhatsApp, it appears, is basically wanting to garner opinions for the app before it officially announces the application for the people.
The APK file of WhatsApp Business application is now available for download and has been tested by the first testers.
The Facebook-owned messaging platform is likely to release it officially soon.
Prior to the official introduction, WhatsApp, in its ‘About’ section of the APK version of its upcoming business app explains on how this application — WhatsApp for a Business app will function.
It also records about how a certain consumer can manage an individual and business WhatsApp account.
Here’s how to control personal and business accounts on WhatsApp:
In explaining the way the WhatsApp for Business really works, the messaging system illustrates certain instances to make it possible for the users to find the best option that works the best for them.
If a user wants only a business account on WhatsApp:
Everything the user needs to do is, first sign up for the WhatsApp for Business app, and then transfer all their business contacts to WhatsApp Business.
This program is most sensible if the user doesn’t desire to use WhatsApp for personal conversation and wants it for business purpose.
But, imagine if consumer desires to use WhatsApp for both business and personal? Such users, as WhatsApp clarifies, need to join up or use a different contact number for WhatsApp Business.
Which means that the consumer must download both – WhatsApp Business and the state WhatsApp application using one phone – but both accounts can’t be registered with the same number.
If a user wishes to use separate phones for business and personal purpose, it is an easy and simple process.
This is the most suitable choice if individual wishes to keep their personal and business conversation completely separate.
The process is easy, download WhatsApp Business in a single phone, and the official WhatsApp application on the other.
Note: Detailing how businesses may use WhatsApp Business, the messaging platform also notes that businesses may also be in a position to register with landline numbers, which isn’t available on the official WhatsApp application.
