Eman Abdul Atti, a 37-year-old Egyptian country wide once thought to be the ‘world’s heaviest woman’, today in a hospital in the UAE due to complications from her weight died, the hospital said.

Eman weighed roughly 500 kg when she found its way to India in Feb but had lost an amazing 323 kilograms after undergoing some medical procedures.

She died at the Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi due to problems from the underlying comorbid conditions, including heart disease and kidney dysfunction, according to doctors at a healthcare facility.

In medicine, comorbidity is the existence of one or more additional disorders or diseases co-occurring with a primary disease or disorder.

Eman had been admitted at Burjeel hospital on, may 4 after arriving in the UAE from India.

She has been under the supervision of over 20 doctors from different specialties, who have been managing her condition.

In the beginning, she underwent treatment at the Saifee hospital in Mumbai for severe weight problems.

Eman underwent bariatric surgery in March in India where doctors reduced how big is her belly by two-thirds, in order to reduce her diet. Her genetic tests had shown that she had an uncommon gene mutation that can’t be healed through surgery.

Bariatric surgery, also called weight loss surgery, is utilized as a final resort to taking care of folks who are dangerously obese – having a body mass index of 40 or above, or 35 plus other obesity-related health issues.

Her treatment in India has stopped after her sister Shaimaa abruptly, on interpersonal media, alleged that Eman had not been receiving medicine in India.

She had alleged that the doctors at Saifee, made “false statements” about Eman’s recovery and weight reduction.

Eman, a citizen of Alexandria in Egypt, hadn’t stepped out of her house to get more than 2 decades thanks to her obese condition accompanied by a stroke that left her paralyzed using one side this past year.

On Sept 9 she had celebrated her 37th birthday, surrounded by friends and family.

Eman’s problems appeared at birth when she was born continued and obese to rapidly grow, struggling to walk as a young girl even.

She never attended school because of her size, and doctors believe her condition is caused by a fluid retention problem, and therefore huge amounts of extra water are being retained in her body.
